Who even ARE you guys?

Scott and I have been friends since working together at a startup a few years ago. We both usually live in New York (but I've been in Virginia since the pandemic).

We got interested in Chia earlier this year (2021), possibly for the same reasons you did — reading how Bitcoin is pretty bad for the environment, Chia's clever approach to securing the blockchain (PoST), and the prospect of a for-profit company backing the smart contract ecosystem surrounding it (Chialisp, etc.).

We've been farming since the launch of mainnet, and want to make a Chia pool for 2 reasons:
  1. income, and
  2. having fun
Looks like we're almost out of income ;)

We plan to be above-board and stay in compliance with crypto regulations. We'll be competitive with fees but we're not interested in a race to the bottom.

I'm pretty active on Keybase, and aim to be helpful and nice; I think Keybase users reading this can (mostly) attest to that.

That said, we're not gonna deal with jagoffs (see Reason B) — we want to make this a creative, fun, positive space for people who are excited about Chia and who like to laugh.

So you're all welcome to join, just 2 rules:
  1. Be cool
  2. Don't be a dick

As Scott puts it, the vibe we're going for is

“A group of misfits bands together to triumph over the humorless adults by throwing a swim meet to raise funds to save their beloved pool.”

Miami Vice meets The Goonies.

AND GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE, DO THEY???

(They don't)
